This week we discussed where Adam and Eve were caught in their sin. They began to blame someone else for the choice they made. We tend to do the same thing and struggle to take responsibility for our own actions. The consequences we have from sinning are to remind us that God has a better way.

Genesis 3 begins the downfall of creation. Pastor Ben shared how temptation lead Adam and Eve to sin and how the enemy is using temptation to cause us to do the same. We have to be on guard and remember the truth of God's word so we don't give into temptation.
Pastor Ben finished Genesis 2 in the new series. He shared about the first man and home in the garden of Eden, the first covenant between God and man and the first marriage and how God originally designed it.
Week 2 of the Genesis series Pastor Ben covered the topic of rest. We learned the actual purpose of the 7th day of rest, how the sabbath rest was practiced in the life of the people of Israel and if we are still suppose to practice rest ourselves.
Pastor Ben began a new series through the first 11 chapters of Genesis. He covered Chapter 1 about creation. We learned who created us and the world and what we were created for. To reflect the light of God to the world.

We finished out our mini series over Mathew 7 where we discussed how the storms of life reveal the truth of our faith. Many of us claim to have a solid foundation in Christ. But when the storms come they reveal how much we really trust Jesus. Is Jesus your solid foundation?
Many of us may have found ways to fake our way through life. But when it comes to entering the kingdom of heaven there is no way to pull one over on God. He says there is a narrow way to heaven and not many will find it. But the broad way to life leads to destruction.
Have you ever struggled with asking God for something? Sometimes we think God doesn't answer but the truth is we probably don't like the answer. Maybe it's a no or not yet. We learned in this message that God only gives good gifts and when we ask God is giving us whats best for us.
